13-Week Accelerated Program
The Vail Valley Dental Assisting program is built to get you career-ready in just 13 weeks. This accelerated course blends online learning with hands-on lab experience, giving you the skills you need to confidently provide chair-side assistance in a real dental office. Online Lectures & Required Reading
Each week, students watch online lectures and follow along using the Vail Valley Dental Assisting School Student Lecture Book and matching Instructor Lecture Book with guided fill-ins.
Lectures cover everything from dental ethics and radiography to specialties such as orthodontics and endodontics. Each session ends with a 2- to 4-hour lab in which you’ll put what you’ve learned into action—because the best way to learn is by doing.
Hands-On Training
As the only hands-on dental assisting program between Denver and Grand Junction, we’ll teach you everything you need to know to get hired as a dental assistant. Get real experience using the same tools and techniques you'll use in a dental office. From taking X-rays to working with impression materials and setting up trays, you’ll build confidence in all areas of dental assisting. Our labs are designed to reinforce what you learn in lectures and help you begin your externship feeling fully prepared.
Quizzes & Exams
Throughout the course, students complete quizzes and tests to reinforce what they’re learning each week. These help track progress and make sure everyone is on pace with the material. Instructors use quiz and exam results to assign grades and give feedback so students always know where they stand.
